Section 01Identity & meaning
01 / Identity & meaning

A shield
of fire, sun,
and sea.

The youth of the islands, set apart and sent. The crest is a covenant in pictures — every motif belongs.

01 · IdentityThe crest, read
NYD · Brand Guidelines04
FIG. 01.A PRIMARY MARK SHIELD · FLAME · SUN · WAVE Crest
Reading the mark

A modern Pinoy
shield, set on fire.

Drawn from Luke 3:16 — "He will baptize you with the Holy Spirit and fire." The shield protects; the flame consecrates; the sun remembers the homeland.

Above the flame, the Baybayin Apo — both the young descendant and the honored elder. We carry ancient wisdom; we are children of God in the same breath.

The vocabulary of the crest

Shield. Sun. Apo. Flame. Fire & Water.

Shield

A modern Pinoy shield. Held firm by Christ; sent out by Christ.

Sun · 5 Rays

The Philippine flag. Five rays for the islands; the local church where every gift grows.

ᜀᜉᜓ

Apo · ᜀᜉᜓ

Baybayin for Apo. Young descendant and honored elder — the next generation, children of God.

Flame

The FIRE-TYPE code of Luke 3:16. Holy Spirit and fire — the indwelling life of God.

Fire & Water

The lower quadrants. Fire — courage, consecration. Water — baptism, renewal. Both held inside the shield.

Section 02Logo system
02 / Logo system

One crest.
Used with reverence,
not cleverness.

The crest is the only primary mark. Give it room. Give it good ground. The mark works hardest when nothing crowds it.

Measure once. The inner flame's height equals 1X.

X X X X Clear space

Use 1X as the breathing margin on all four sides. Where layout permits, double it. Crowding reads as low confidence.

Never do this

Six things the crest is not for.

Stretch
Don't distort proportions.
Rotate
Don't rotate or treat as decorative.
Recolor
Don't substitute off-system hues.
Add effects
No shadows, glows, bevels, strokes.
Crowd
Don't violate the 1X rule.
Low contrast
Don't place on busy or low-contrast grounds.
Section 03Color
03 / Color

Five colors,
pulled directly
from the crest.

Used with intention, never decoration. The palette tells the same story as the mark — fire, sun, sea, ground, light.
